Areva to supply six nuclear water reactors
Despite the global financial meltdown, global nuclear players are looking at more opportunities in India. While Moscow is all set to sign an agreement with India for four more nuclear reactors at Kundankulam when the Russian President visits New Delhi, French nuclear major Areva is all set to bring about six European Pressurised Water Reactors to India by 2020. Areva proposes to supply at least six light water reactors [LWRs] to India by 2020 when the country’s nuclear capacity will rise to unprecedent level.
